Generic vs. Partnered Plans

Article Content

Introduction

When choosing and subsequently building plans into a company implementing their benefits through THExpressHUB, you will have two options – generic plans, which can be built to match any given Carrier’s benefits the company may want to offer their employees, and partnered plans, offered by a specific Carrier partnered with the exchange in question.

The graphic below shows the differences between building the two plan types into a company with THExpressHUB.

Generic vs. Partnered Plans

Example

The image below shows a side-by-side image of a generic Employee Life benefit (left) and a partnered Employee Life benefit (right) in our training exchange, BrightPassage. You can click the hotspot icons on the image () to learn more about the differences between the two. Though this image specifically shows the fields on Employee Life plans, these differences will be applied to all benefit types where an exchange offers partnered plans.

Note that these plans are displayed side-by-side for presentation purposes only and will never appear this way in THExpressHUB. Additionally, the red text at the top of the image has been added to help distinguish between the two plan types.
