Beneficiary Information

Article Content

Introduction

In your role as an administrator, you may need to be able to access an employee’s beneficiary information. To do this, search for the employee using the Edit Employee link under the Employee Administration icon.

Once you are at the Employee Menu, the employee’s beneficiaries can be found at the Beneficiary Information link under the Benefit Plan Information icon. This link has been marked in red on the image below for the purposes of this article.

Beneficiary Information

The Beneficiary Information pages will look the same (and have the same functionality) as the Beneficiaries pages the employee will need to complete during their walkthrough.

Manage Beneficiaries Page

The first page is the Manage Beneficiaries page. This page lists all of the beneficiaries the employee has added to their record, along with a link to add additional beneficiaries.

Beneficiary Designation Page

Clicking the Sign And Continue button will take you to the Beneficiary Designation page. This page shows the Primary (beneficiaries who will receive the benefit) and Contingent  (beneficiaries who will receive the benefit if the primary beneficiaries are deceased) percentages each beneficiary will receive for each benefit the employee has elected requiring beneficiaries.

Clicking the Finished button on this page will return you to the Employee Menu, where you will see the message “Beneficiary Information edited.” This message will populate even if you did not make any changes to the beneficiary information.

Pro-Tip

If an employee is not enrolled in any benefits that require beneficiaries, the Beneficiary Information pages will not be accessible. Clicking the Beneficiary Information link will instead return the message shown below.
